Keywords: How much of your life is spent at the work place? The average person will spend between 70,000 to 80,000 hours of their life at work. In our healthy adult years we spend roughly half of our awake time at work most days. This is more time than we spend with our children, in our schooling, in our hobbies, or doing anything else in life, other than sleeping. Should a believer try to act like a Christian at work? First, logically, the answer must be yes. Anything we spend so much of our life doing we should do for the Lord. Second, though, the Bible also speaks about our attitude to work, so our work life is important to God. Our text this morning describes three important attitudes we should have in our jobs: (1) respect toward those in authority over us; (2) conscientiousness in the work itself; and (3) respect to those whom we supervise. - Pastor David Packer
