Happy Father's Day today to the dads out there. May God bless you with joy and gratitude for the privilege God has entrusted to you to parent your children. Be grateful for your father today, and also, if you are a father, let this day be a day of re-dedicating yourself as a father to your children.
Today we are examining the final chapter of Acts, and seeing "The Last View of a World Changer," or the final description in scripture of the life of Paul. In our text we see Paul rising above his circumstances and serving and loving others. It is the historical evidence of the truth he proclaimed in Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through him who gives me strength."
Questions for Discussion: Here are some discussion questions you and your family can use:
How did Paul rise above his circumstances as a prisoner in our text today? What are some circumstances in your life that tend to hold you down? How can you, in Christ, overcome the things and people who limit you? Why does serving God and helping others touch people's lives? Why do Christians need one another? What can Christians do for one another? Have you ever been encouraged by another believer? Have you encouraged another believer? As Paul shared the gospel, why did he preach also about the kingdom of God? Do people need to accept Jesus is Lord in order to be saved? What does Romans 10:9-10 say about this? Blessings, Pastor David
